I AM LOOKING TO BUY A VINTAGE RECIEVER FROM EBAY.IS THERE A WEBSITE TO FIND OUT WHAT THE TRUE WATTS ARE FOR A SPECIFIC RECIEVER?INSTEAD OF RELYING ON WHAT IS ADDVERTISED?

Specified wattage on solid state receivers is relative to how they're measured. Hi there.Put the make and model no.in your search engine and see if it comes up with the specifications for continuous output in watts rms.Also there may be an independent review on that model to see if the specs. hold up.Or if you like type in the brand and model no. and i will have a look.
