I would do the aqua on three walls, and the wall that your bed is on chocolate, as an accent wall. I would do a glossy white on your trim.

Or you could paint the wall aqua and paint the trim chocolate brown. The wall behind the bed could be both chocolate and aqua with some white, like stripes or a pattern. Where is your window wall? Decisions, decisions, have fun

Try ivory, peach, grass green, or caramel.
The head of your bed is usually the focus wall - before you paint it, consider - what color is the headboard? If wood, use a light color [ ivory or aqua ]; if white, use a dark color [ brown ].
Or, paint all the walls your new color [ peach? ] and make aqua and chocolate designs on the walls [ pieces of fabric print, waves, stripes, etc.]
Or, paint the walls peach, and make family collages in an aqua background, and friend collages in a chocolate background, and alternate them around the room.

Chocolate brown would be too dark for a wall I think, especially with your furniture, maybe some room decor pieces in chocolate brown, throw pillows and such. I would either paint it all aqua or leave one wall white. If you do leave one white I would make sure that some of your decor pieces have some white in them too, no off-white. If it were me I would do all aqua.

I think if you go taupe, or just leave them white, with 1-aqua wall and add some chocolate/orange/and aqua wall art, it will look very modern!

hey that's a superb modern color scheme you've got going so congratz. .....i would say yes, leave 1 or 2 walls light for balance........ perhaps offwhite if you don't like pure white. here's a pic with 'sand dollar' and a chocolate tone. the pic however is not an aqua and chocolate bedroom like you described but i couldnt find another pic. so i hope it helps you. from the color scheme you described it reminds me instantly of the catalog "THE COMPANY STORE" because they're always using that color scheme you described... they are also online i think

how about 3 walls acqua and another one peach or lilac? I think it would go good with the chocolate bedding.
