In a half a billion years the planet Earth may not have humans living on it at all.
The dinosaurs ruled the earth for 277 million years and humans have only been here for less than 100 thousand. The earth may have no humans that can live here, just as the dinosaurs could not live on earth any longer, but the planet will survive. Other lifeforms will take over and rule the planet in turn.

Next 500,000,000 years? You're assuming it's already been around that long? Uhh. No. But, I'll resist the temptation to explain the earth's history and answer your question: it will not exist as it is today. There will have been a new heaven and a new earth at that point.
There is a series of events scheduled in the future such as the Rapture and the Tribulation.

I'm worried about the next *5* years, let alone five hundred MILLION years. Too many wars, too many people dedicated to either running other people's lives or eliminating them.
