I was told all my life I'd never get in the service by military Dr's I'm a military brat. I'm a Veteran of the Air Force, so anything is possible, all he has to do is go to MEPs and inform them of his medical history and they'll check him out better that the rest and make the call. Good Luck for him and an early Thank you for Serving.

The only way to know will be wait until he is old enough to sign up and let him go to MEPs. The doctors there will evaluate his current and historical medical condition and determine if he is fit for service.

would you want him to go now, it is awful hard they have to walk miles carrying heavy back packs and do all sorts I don't think he would pass a medical my son in law was super fit and has been medically discharged with his ankles after 12 years of being in the army

The only way to know for sure is to go to mepps and find out. I don't think it will be a problem to join but he may be limited as to what jobs he can do. Best of luck to him.

If the doctors have given him the all clear, and he is otherwise fit then there shouldnt be a problem.

Joining the Army??? we need lots of people to join the army cos its falling apart (through lack of equipment)
Seriously, tell them medical history and he will go before army dr's who will recheck if all is well.
