Hi! I have a 1970 dodge dart with a /6 and factory A/C, and power steering. I also have a 1970 340 engine to put in this Dart, but my problem is there are no pulleys or brackets for this engine. what will work to where I can keep it optioned like it is? Can I use the same /6 brackets and pulleys for the p/s and A/C? Also, can a 904 SB transmission be used behind this engine? Thanks if anyone can help.

Pulleys and brackets can be had from summit and jegs and some other sources. The ac unit and powersteering unit should work fine but will need different brackets.Schumacher creative services makes mounts for slant six to v8 conversions without changing the k frame.I hope this helps and it sounds like a fun project.A 727 or 904 transmission will work from a small block if you use the factory converter from a trans out of a 360 remember to knock the weight off the torque converter as 360's are externally balanced and 340's and 318's are internally balanced. The 904 is lighter in weight than the 727 and can handle the 340.

Pulleys and brackets are the least of your worries. The transmission for the /6 won't bolt up to the 340 and the motor mounts will have to be rebuilt.

you will need a 727 trans the good news is that you can score them from a pick and pull pritty cheep look at auto trucks with a 360 and 2wd you will need a new cross member for the trans and a new driveline built.
