I really wonder why people dont get off the "Illegal Mexican Immigration" and start worrying about bigger issues like gas prices and getting the government to raise Minimum wage.
If everyone would put all that stress and attention to these things then maybe America would get better for the lower to middle class population....Think of it! Just think...Not worrying about something that doesn't directly effect you and start worrying about something that does!
Just a thought. What are your opinions. No smart butt answers please.

There is also one thing EVERYONE must understand. Our tax dollars DO NOT support Illegals.
If you are illegal you can't have government support! Sorry! Impossible!

topdawg- My husband WAS an illegal immigrant! His family still are. AND no sir they do not get government money! Even if they did it wouldn't be any better than the "A girl that lives in government housing with 5 different kids with different daddys. She is able to work but doesn't because she gets that check on the 1st!

Yeah, Like the WAR. These anti-illegals compare an "illegal" 9 year old girl from Mexico to an Al Qaeda terrorist. It is sad how these people think.

12 to 20 million people entered this country illegally...they broke the law....if just one person entered your house illegal would you let them stay?, would you do nothing? or would you call the police to have them removed? illegal immigration is not a little thing.
raising the minimum wage will not do anything, if you check most states already have minimum wages higher than the federal minimum. minimum wage jobs are meant to be entry level jobs, a starting place on entering the workforce. by raising the minimum wage employers will face huge decisions. 1). instead of 10 workers he can only pay 8, 2 will have to be let go, what if one of them was you or a loved one. 2). he will have to raise his prices which means now you and I both pay higher prices leaving me with less income because just because hey raise the minimum wage doesn't mean everyone gets a raise. just think you are making $10 an hour...they raise the minimum wage to $9.75 now you are making only .25 more than minimum......do you get a raise...I don't think so....just be careful what you wish for without thinking it through the whole way

You somehow think that illegals will help raise the minimum wage? Or drive down the gas prices? Because of the illegal aliens, there may be no middle class anymore and the wages will never go up,also due to them. And yet you wonder why we are concerned about illegal immigration? They do directly affect me and everyone else in this nation. Now do you understand why?

Many Americans, even if they don't realize it, are just worried about their jobs being taken. We(Americans) have become accustomed to making far too much money for doing nothing. This has occured due to Unions which are now only a burden on businesses and the economy.

Illegal immigration does directly affect us. Schools paying to educate the children whose parents dont pay into the local tax base. Our children suffer a lower education because of money spent on them. Hospitals closing because they dont pay their bills. Illegals affect everyday life and not always in good ways.

Seriously?
Illegals living in our country isn't an important issue?
Gas prices are going to do what they do, it's called "Free Market". Supply and demand.
Illegals are breaking our laws.
Are you concerned about gang violence in our country?
Thats a big issue, isn't it?
What about child molesters running around our neighborhoods?
Thats a big issue.
It has been proven many, many times, that minimum wage will help no one escape poverty. No one!
Legalizing illegals and allowing them to stay, will hurt lower wage Americans. The lowest wage jobs will go to the illegals that you want to grant amnesty to. Americans always complain about American companies "outsourcing" Boo Hoo our jobs are going out to other countries. Well, legalizing the illegals will be "insourcing" low wage workers. How the heck can that help our lower class wage earners? Isn't it bad enough that Americans have already scared thousands of companies out? Yes, dozens went to Mexico, Levi's for one.
You want to "insource" slave labor? good for you. But Will not sit quiet and let our Congress and this joke of a President, reward illegals for breaking the law. Reward illegals for protesting on our city streets while carrying Mexican flags, raping our health-care and educational system, and refusing to assimilate into our culture. I challenge all United Statesians to call, fax, phone and email your representatives, and tell them NO TO AMNESTY !!!!!!

Don't let this President and our Congress sell us out. Citizenship is priceless!!!

So you don't think that allowing the biggest increase in immigration plus the biggest illegal alien amnesty in history that will result in anywhere from 50-100 million new people in this country in the next 20-30 years will not raise gas prices, home heating prices, taxes, crime, lower fresh water availability and in general create the biggest environmental nightmare this country has ever seen?
50-100 million uneducated, low income people who will mostly be able to get educated, medicated, housed, fed and babied by taxpayers. This will effect the future of this country far more then Iraq.

Well, lets see, more people here means more gas use which means......higher gas prices.
Cheap labor means no need to raise minumum wage. Get it?
By the way illegal means against the law so are you also for us supporting someone illegally entering your home, shooting you and your family and taking your belongings?
