On a daily basis the pain is anywhere from a 7-10 on a scale of 1-10. I have tried aleve, vicodin, and cold compress, but all seem to just barely touch the pain. Any suggestions?

Well Alex, the rest of your life just started I'm afraid. You see I have had back and neck surgery twelve times due to a bone disease. It causes herniated discs, ruptured discs and, the vertebrae simply falls apart creating stenosis.

There are now several methods to relieve the pain. One theory is stretching the spine. I think some chiropractors can do this, if at least for temporary relief.
Another of course is surgery with a orthopedic surgeon.
And, drug therapy.

See your doctor first, ask what his options for you are and see what's best for you. It sounds like you know what's wrong, MRI's or X-Rays ? then go from there and, good luck.
