American and british Accents?

I know when i was a child, my friends and i would play games and talk in british accents etc.

Do people in europe do that with the american accent?

Hey Amber, like your question. The American mid-western accent is very difficult for Europeans to mock. Not too many are very good at it. Another subject on accents here. I've noticed in older British movies when a part requires a shady, and under-handed character, the part is filled by an American. Many times in older American made films, in the same role, the character used is either British or Australian. Does this symbolize how we viewed each other in the past?

We used to speak with an English accent too. At that time we were not really aware that there was a real difference between an English and an American accent.
Or we would speak with a fake French or German accent. We had a lot of languages to choose from.

There s no such ingredient as a British accessory. Britain is produced from 4 worldwide places: Scotland, England, Northern eire and Wales yet once I had to respond to, i could say the southern English accessory

My native language is French but we played the same game, copying Belgian or Canadian accent. It seems a fascination with other people's accent is universal.
