Cool showers definitely if you take a hot shower it will sting and may cause you to blister where you are sun burnt. And while you are taking a cool shower the water will sooth the burn. after you shower you should apply aloe Vera. it helps too. But what ever you do don't apply lotion to where your burnt until you start to pill or tan... because if you do it will irritate the skin...
hope i helped!!!!
happy healling!! ; )

at first a cold shower could reduce the burn some by removing excessive heat. After that warn showers can help BUT NOT HOT ONES! Their is nerve damage from the burn and you could be doing more damage with hot showers to the burned area.

slightly cooler showers. Also put sea breeze astringent on the burn. Thats what they used back in the day. Also use noxzema face mask to cool skin. After showering apply vitamin e or aloe vera. I use after tan lotion. Will sting but keep tan in the long run.

Everyone says hot showers not sure if it works
Try soaking a paper towel(s) in vinegar any kind and apply to burnt area works like a charm, or you can also use aloe vera gel to relieve discomfort but vinegar works best for me

soak a towel in apple cider vinegar and put it on the burn to take the sting out. then wash yourself in a mild shower with gentle soap and dont use rags or loofas.

Definetly cool. Anything hot is just going to make you sting more and make you more uncomfortable and probably make you start to peel sooner.
