It is a couples bridal shower.
The ones I've attended were not like a bachelor or bachelorette party. They were more like a regular bridal shower . . . only NO games, and more food. The guys tend to like hearty food, LOL.

It's a male and female bridal shower, still would be "g" rated.
Same things would go on as a regular bridal shower - play a few games, have a great lunch, open the gifts.
However, I like the idea of all the girls and ladies just getting together...

Jack & Jill parties are fine - but "selling" tickets is tacky. A shower needs not be anything more than getting together with friends to celebrate the upcoming wedding - there's nothing tacky about this.

I've never heard of that before. But I suppose it would be a bachelor/bachelorette party where they would part take in each others entertainment.
