A short fast will not harm an otherwise healthy person, in fact it has some significant health benefits. Before you start on any fast do your homework, a lot has been written about the subject as well as a lot of research done.
Just be aware that there is also a lot of misplaced fear an d misinformation among some.
Fasting for weight loss is probably not a good idea. As some have said, you'll probably just gain it back. Permanent weight loss takes life style change. Ask yourself" Why am I overweight to begin with?" and then make the changes necessary to change your condition permanently. You'll be much happier.
Don' take any action without talking to your parents. They WILL notice if you stop eating without talking to them, and you will cause them real concern, anxiety and distress.

if u stop eating for a few days ur body will think ur in a situation were u might starve. so ur body will take anything u put into ur body and hold onto it for a long time. for example lets say monday and tuesday u dont eat. but then you have a balanced meal wednesday. your body will think that becasue u havent had food for two days u might not get food again for a long time after u eat on wednesday. so when you eat on wednesday your body actually stores the food longer (ur body stores the food in the form of fat) so in fact u gain weight on thursday if u dont eat monday or tuesday. if u really feel like your not eating very well plan balanced meals and stick to a 1500 calorie diet. i promise that eating a balanced breakfast, small snack, lunch, small snack and dinner will allow ur body to find its correct weight. food is good in moderation. consult a nutritionist if you want an idea of the size portions should and shouldnt be. :) btw 124 is not fat. most likley its muscle weight (muscle weighs 3x as much as fat)

No it is not healthy: and 124 pounds is not over weight at13 years old. Your body is changing daily. Walk, exercise, but do not starve your self to control weight that can mess your bodies growth in the next few years up big time.
Besides people put to much stock in being skinny! A little extra weight is not bad nor bad to look at either.

you never want to stop eating because that will cause your metabolism to slow down and conserve the fat. You are not done growing so you still have baby fat. Plus, if you ruin your metabolism now, it'll never get better. You just need to eat healthy food, cut out junk food, and exercise. and if you are that worried, eat until you are about 70% full to make sure you don't stuff yourself. But starving yourself is bad so don't do it. and 124 is NOT fat

No it causes your body to think it's being starved and stores anything you do eat as fat so it has reserves for the starving! It's just a viscious circle! The way to loose weight is to quit drinking soda and eating fast food and snacks and get out there and move! Dance, swim, do whatever you like just keep moving! Even walking every day will help!

No, that is NEVER a healthy approach, and it will do absolutely nothing to make you lose weight.
Talk with your mom about how to make a healthy menu for the week. I'll bet she would appreciate your input and would like to know that she can help you feel your best by helping you, too.
Here's a couple of websites in the source section below.
Good luck!

If you don't eat, your body will start feeding on your muscles, and it usually adds five pounds of fat.
So no, it's not healthy. Eat a healthy portion of food for each meal, and avoid junk food. A cookie or two is fine, but not an entire bag of chips, etcetc. You can also lose weight by increasing your activity level by exercising and such.
Good luck.

the key is what you eat, how much of it, and how often. You are much better to eat a small healthy meal every 4 hours. You stop eating and you'll lose weight, yes, but as soon as you start eating...your body is going to store it all because it worries that it's going to be starved again.

It is never safe to simply not eat. When you don't eat your body assumes it won't get food for a while so it stores what it can, in effect slowing metabolism. Your stomach will begin to digest itself and you develop stomach ulcers. However, if you eat correctly and watch your calories, your body will assume its getting all the food it will need and your metabolism increases, burning calories and fat. The best thing to do is eat many small meals.

IT IS NOT HEALTHY TO EAT A COUPLE OF DAYS I DON'T CARE IF U ARE 3 YEARS OLD AND 300 LBS. STARVE UR SELF. WHAT HAPPENS IS WHEN U DON'T EAT. UR BODY THINKS IT IS STARVING AND STORES FAT. AND U LOSE MUSCLE. SO IT IS NEVER GOOD . ALSO U THROW UR METABOLISM OUT OF WHACK. THAT IS HOW FAST U LOSE WEIGHT. U NEVER MENTIONED HOW TALL U ARE. ALSO. JUST TRY TO CUT OUT SODAS. TRY DIET SODA. AND WATCH EMPTY CALORIES. EAT MORE FRUIT AND VEGGIES AND EXERCISE AT LEAST 3X A WEEK. FOR EXERCISE U CAN JUST TURN ON THE RADIO AND DANCE FOR 20-MIN.GOOD LUCK
