Why can't we all just get along?

Why can't everybody educate themselves to every religion at hand so when they come to Yahoo! Answers R&S section, they can have a full-fledged intellectual conversation?

Why is it so hard for some to accept the fact that I DO believe in the Divine (God, Allah, Etc) --Just not in the way YOU believe in it?

Why is it so hard for some to understand that I am HAPPY in my beliefs?

Why can't you realize that you are not right, and neither am I when it comes to definte truth in religion or spirituality?

Why do you act as if you know your divine entity so well?
Isn't that egotistical?

How can you even begin to suggest you know it when you haven't REALLY connected with it, FOR YOURSELF, and actually EXPIERENCED the feeling that it gives you?

I believe the divine rests within the natural world...so whenever I am out in Nature, secluded, I am connected, in love, and I am happy. Why is that so hard to understand for some?

Because their goal isn't to understand, their goal is to make you think like them. To assimilate you. They are right, and therefore everything else must be wrong (or evil, to reference a poster above). If something else is right, then they must be wrong, and that's just not possible. Really, this sort of thinking is to be pitied because it is so limited.

Keep hold of your perspective and I wish you joy and peace of your spiritual path.

If it's DISCUSSION that you want, there are plenty of forums out there on the internet much better suited for that.

This place is set up strictly for a "Question and Answer" format. It's not really set up like a message board or newsgroup for "discussion", with threads that stay up in view for more than a few days (let alone more than 15 minutes), etc.. And the fast frequency of new topics/questions makes it incredibly hard to moderate it. So not surprisingly, this place can easily turn into a screaming match.

The same resion there will always be war. It is a shame that people will never just live and let live. The best we can do is just be the best person we can be and not worry about how others view us and not pas judgment on others we may not agree with.

I have always advocated free will and choice. I am a Christian but you can believe the way you want, just as I do. Of course, I believe my Faith is the correct one, being born again thru acceptance of Jesus, but that doesn't mean I hate yours. Thanks for the question and have a great day!

Good and evil will never get along. There is only one God and it is the Christian God. He loves man kind and some of his creatures obey him and others don't. There is war because men have evil in their hearts and want to destroy good. So Good has to stand up for itself and I fight back. If good becomes lukewarm it will be taken over by evil. Good has to be just as perfect as the Christian God who is good and perfect. To bad Agnostics and Atheists are on the wrong side. The evil side. The Christians God says," I know your works and they are full of evil deeds". Atheists and Agnostics are evil sinners like Christians, but Christians submit to God and Atheists and Agnostics believe they are good when they are full of evil.

Two words; closed mindedness.

I understand your frustration, I even share it, but there really is nothing we can do about it.

Basically it is just to hard and most people are too lazy to even Google something they don't know about.

I do agree with you.
