I don't drink pop, so I don't have a can/bottle to look at right now.

Not so much in sodium, but very high in sugar (especially fructose) and calories, and a fair amount of caffeine, too. Sadly, not enough for me to get a caffeine high off of though.

I hate to chime in on a negative note, but when ever I see someone talking about any of these products I just feel obligated to say a few things about them that the general public may not be aware of.

The first and probably most significant piece of information is, carbonated beverages with caramel color have extremely high acidity levels. As most of you know in order to keep the body healthy you have to maintain an APPROXIMATE alkaline to acid ratio of 70/30 %. Drinking either Coke or Pepsi contributes to the imbalance. The carbonation in these drinks also fights with the natural stomach acids in the digestive system and results in ineffective digestion.

Scientific studies have also shown how as few as one or two soft drinks a day can increase one’s risk for numerous health problems. Some of these health problems include obesity, diabetes, tooth decay, osteoporosis, nutritional deficiencies, heart disease, and many neurological disorders

Dr. Charles Best, the discoverer of insulin, claims that teenagers who consume too many soft drinks have cirrhosis of the liver similar to what chronic alcoholics have.1 There is no cure for cirrhosis of the liver except to receive a new liver through a transplant.

If your still not convinced try a couple of "do it yourself tests"next time you have the opportunity;

Need to remove paint from your car?
Don't sand it off,
just use a can of Pepsi or Coke

Clogged drain that can't even be fixed with Draino?
Use a Coke or Pepsi

How about a toilet
so grimy and disgusting
even sandpaper wouldn't clean it?
Try Pepsi or Coke

Want to clean the corrosion off your car battery?
Coke or Pepsi?

Does it ever really quench your thirst?
Nope.
Drink a Coke or Pepsi after getting close to dehydrated state and chances are YOU WILL DIE.

So as we can see
there are a lot of great uses for both Coke and Pepsi,
but none of them include human consumption.

I've included a few other sites below for those of you that might be a little more than curious about your favorite soft drinks.

Remember, Coke DOES NOT add life.

read the side of the bottle and all that info should be right there, and yes, they are extremely high in sodium, and a lot of chemicals that are not listed, like the ones that get you addicted to the certain brands of soda pop and other JUNK foods.

No. All have little or no sodium, nor potassium, either.

They are high in phosphates, however.
