I have astham and am in the army.
Had one attack at AIT, treated with albuterol neb, and returned to training that day. NO issues at all. If it is not controlled, you may want to reconsider joining. I rarely use an inhaler. Before basic, I ran 20-30 miles a week. If you have triggers like dust, molds, what ever, think about where you will be going. Get info from recruiter, they dont care if you have it or not. Asthma can be waived, especially childhood. If you are up to it, I say try for it.

I feel your pain. I've had asthma for 14 years now and have seen several doctors. The truth is, there is no known cure for asthma at the moment. But the symptoms can be prevented. It really depends on what causes your brother's asthma. Mine is usually dust and hot weather. But I think the universal method is using the control inhaler.

I cured my Asthma the natural way?

Asthma will disqualify you from military service. If it's discovered you have asthma at basic training/boot camp (and with the physical rigors of that training it most likely will be discovered) then you will be immediately discharged.
