Will I get Tricare when on 30 day ADSW orders?

Question

I'm being put onto 30 day ADSW orders starting July 1. Am I entitled to, full base pay, full BAH, full BAS, and tricare?

I should have noted, I am Army National Guard...

Also, all of the information that has been posted says "you will receive BAH Type II for orders less than 30 days" Mine are 30 days. So is it like 30 days or less? Or does that mean 29 days or less.

The reason I ask is because my MSG said I'd get all the goodies.

Nope.

If your ADSW orders are less than 31 days,

Then you will get BAS, and BAH Type ll,

Bah Type ll is location independant. it is the same no matter where you are. See first linkj below for type ll rates.

If your ADSW orders are for 31 days or more, then you qualify for bas, regular bah and enllrollment in Deers, tricare, etc.

In short - you will get all the pay, but not the tricare. Tricare does not cover ADSW. It only kicks in on AD orders of greater than 30 days. I did almost 5 years of ADSW and I've learned almost all the ins and outs because of that.
