The biology degree, by itself, won't do much for you. However, assuming you have some chemistry and math background, you might be well qualified to apply for further schooling to qualify you for a medical job. For instance, you could apply for a medical technology internship, which would be a year long, but you then would be eligible to take your ASCP registry examination.

My DIL graduated with a degree in biology/chemistry and ended up getting a job teaching biology at a middle school, and then at a high school She had to take some courses to get her teaching license and will be teaching high school chemistry next year. This summer, she started working on her MS in biology, which will get her a hefty pay raise, plus the education costs are tax deductible because the advanced degree is a requirement of the job.

Nationwide, there is an acute shortage of science and math teachers right now, so a lot of school systems will hire non-licensed teachers with appropriate degrees. In fact, some school districts are paying bonuses for math and science teachers.

Much depends on which type of degree you are going to get..not many jobs with ordinary graduate degree but if you are are in a special field you may get many jobs. Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bio informatics are few field in which you can get high-pay jobs. Biology is a vast field in itself you can chose the area of your interest to make career. marine microbiology, plant bio tech, animal bio tech, fermentation technology, Molecular biology, are few examples. try to get expertise in any of special field and you will never look back. all the best

Check with your school's career center - they should be able to help you.

You might be able to teach, or work in a lab.
