The Bible makes it very clear that God is a sadistic killer (far worse than Hitler). READ the whole Bible sometime.

I thought God was forgiving. If he was, he would have given them a second chance... and did he? I don't think so.
Then again, if God would support free will, he would accept rebellion as a different opinion and just put them in exile. Which he did with the fallen angels. I would say everything you said there still shows God as a murderous vindictive and not to mention closed minded and megalomanic creature.
Then again, maybe he was trying to get rid of the likes of you - you know, survival of the fittest - but hit the wrong button.

A supreme being would obviously not give himself over to homicidal rage, nor engage in mass-murder. In any event you are clearly unfamiliar with the history of the identification of the concept of a supreme deity with a jewish tribal deity. Yahwah was originally a volcano. The ancient hebrews thought the periodic belching and fuming indicated anger; calm was interpreted as approval. Ancient Israel was located directly on the line of the Great Rift Valley and the volcanos at that time were far more active than today. You are welcome to embrace this build-up of an ancient hebrew mountain-god into a supreme deity, but such concepts are becoming less credible as humanity continues to develop.

So all the babies that have died knew the consequences of their future actions?
Genesis 7:23 the flood kills everyone but Noah. Including all children and babies.
Exodus 12:29 God kills all the first born for the crime of Pharaoh. How did they pick Pharaoh's decision?
Deuteronomy 20:12 Commands to kill all men and boys to be killed. But raping the women and girls is O.K.
Deuteronomy 20:16 Now you have to kill everyone.
Joshua 10:28-41 Joshua kills everyone in the cities as God wants him to.
There is plenty more, but it is just too barbaric.

The God in the OT was fashioned after all of the other "war" gods at the time in the area. Yours is no different. The war gods were quick to judge and destroy things when not happy. Does that sound familiar? It is a description of the gods of the area and the era, so please do your homework and realize where the personality traits came from. Due to the uncertainty of the time, people wanted their God(s) to appear stronger than anyone elses God(s), hence they made up great stories about them. The funny thing is that you still believe them.

"God is God of justice"
AND PLEASE STOP MISINTERPRETING THE SCRIPTURES
I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may my husband still play touch football if he wears gloves?
I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
Care to clarify these passages???

Do you know what "atheist" means? It means that we think God is a fictional character. To answer your question, we'd have to figure out what was on the minds of the priests who wrote the OT.
BTW, i know genocide when i see it. God doesn't get a free pass from moral evaluation just because He's a jealous control freak.

So you are saying that a child abuser is in no way at fault because the child CAUSED the beatings by disobeying?
Is your god truly not capable of handling dissent in any more loving way? Disobey and die just doesn't strike me as a loving god.

God is a delusion and so I don't care that some Christians think their God is a just God for killing people and allowing women to be raped and children to be sold as slaves.Personally, if I was going to have a God delusion I would rather have a nicer delusion.

I thought going to hell was suppose to be retribution for sins? Hmm so apparently not only does he murder you horrendously (which would give any person today the death penalty) you're also condemned to hell for eternity? Some loving, caring, and compassionate god you christians have. Glad I'm not one of ya.

Atheists would not think that God killed many people in the OT, or the NT, or the OC, or anywhere else.
Atheists don't think that God is capable of killing anyone, anywhere, anytime.
Atheists don't believe that God exists.
Try and work that one out.
