tomatoes are botanically fruits

Botanically speaking, a tomato is the ovary, together with its seeds, of a flowering plant: a fruit or, more precisely, a berry. However, from a culinary perspective, the tomato is not as sweet as those foodstuffs usually called fruits and it is typically served as part of a main course of a meal, as are other vegetables, rather than at dessert. As noted above, the term "vegetable" has no botanical meaning and is purely a culinary term.

i don't know about meat but the tomato was originally thought of as a vegetable but then it was said that fruits have seeds and a star like center (something like that) and so it came to become known as a fruit... but i think it's still considered a vegetable.

No, they are fruits, not meat, as they contain seeds.

Unless you're talking about Killer Tomatoes, that is, which is a different story altogether

It's only meat if there's a cow inside wearing a tomato suit, otherwise it's a fruit.

tomatoes are fruits because they have seeds, not sure how meat fits in with tomatoes - only thing i can think of is beef tomatoes, or maybe in reference to the fleshy insides.

I heard something about tomatoes actually being FRUIT because they have their seeds inside them, but I don't know if that's true.

I believe that tomatoes are indeed meat.

When run over by a car they splatter just like a hedgehog, therefore, are animal in origin.

Anyone who says they are a fruit is obviously tomatophobic.

They are fruits. The result of pollination of the blossom and a fruit develops enclosing the seeds. The fruit is green and gradually matures and ripens and changes colour from green to yellow to orange to red.
