Hello giving The God of Heaven credit is good as long as we do not forget to give satan his share of the "credit" for bad things, The Bible was written over a 1500 year period by 44 authors and it does not disagree with itself, and 30% of it is prophecy, and changed lives God gets all the Glory [credit] for all the Love He has shown yes there is a lot of bad that goes on, read the account of Job. Did you ever see in
Job 1:11 where satan told God that satan was going to do something bad and God was going to get the blame, hay satan does not need our help lets put the God of our lives first and put the blame for the bad where it belongs on satan and not say its a "act of God" and if it was not for the Grace and probation time we have not humans would not have "any action" God bless.

The assumption is made that human action is a product of a god's will. In pantheism this may be relative to a specialized minor deity; in Judeo-Christianity and Islam it is identified with a supreme being. It is easy to understand,so I am surprised by the question. In any event,even I as a non-deist cannot permit humanity to claim credit for everything; the universe is far older than we are and we did not create it. We do not know what combination of material energy and possibly spiritual forces may have interfaced to establish who and what we are - the sum of our existence,as they say - but we cannot claim credit even for our own being,and the tendency to personify the spiritual dimension of consciousness (or the universe) is as old as humankind. It gives great comfort and meaning to many. I do not find it necessary; many do.

Human action can be good or bad. God is always perfect.

In the eternal point of view it is very wise to honor God. We know right from wrong, that credit we really should give to God.

Dear Sara,
We wouldn't think of giving God credit for all our actions.
We can really be proud of our selves? We have managed to kill millions of people in our self rule. But he does tell us how he feels about this? James 4:1-4 or maybe you are talking about how good we take care of our earthly home. Look up the title Love Canal. on your computer?
There may be a few things we can pat our selves on the back for? I just can not think straight right now? Would it be how we show love to our neighbors? Please enlighten me?

That's a fair question; and to add to it....why does is he only credited for GOOD human actions?

A lot of people try to do this and it really gets on my nerves. I really get annoyed when people say God does this or that, like those commercials for miracle water, give me a break. God is active in true followers of Him, but not religious people.

I never do. EVER. That would be liking blaming Pandora for the evil of the world. It's just superstitious nonsense. There are no god's to give credit or blame to.

WELL WHO SAID TO GIVE HIM CREDIT? THIS IS WHAT I THINK! IF YOU BELIEVE IN GOD,THEN IT'S DIFFERENT THEN U GIVE HIM CREDIT AND IF U DON'T WANT TO THEN DON'T

OKI THEY TEACH IN MOST RELIGIONS THAT WE ARE A PART OF GOD SO IF ANYTHING WE ARE EVERTHING THAT MAKES HIM RIGHT! SO WHY SHOULD WE GIVE HIM CREDIT!!

How do you think He does some things?
He moves US to do according to His will, especially if we are yielded to Him fully. And we love it. There's no greater experience than knowing you are doing the right thing at the right time in the right place, and knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt it is according to His will!

::stunned::

This is one of my BIGGEST complaints about theists. I'm a humanist, and I never "thank god" for good things that happen to me. I thank studious, hard-working doctors who heal me, loving parents who teach me right from wrong, a great husband who, despite not being omnipotent or required by natural law to do so, loves me unconditionally ANYHOW.

In other words, I agree.
