It's in your mind. On a trip I assume the hotel bathroom will work. At some point your body will reach its maximum tolerance and you will go.
The only other likely possibility is that you will develop an impacted bowel. That is the back up and hardening of feces in your large intestine which is serious and requires immediate medical intervention. However the chances of that occurring is very unlikely, much less than a 1% chance.
I'd recommend a mild laxative, taken at night until you get regular on your trip. Ex-Lax, and senekot both seem to work well.

You are not the only person that feels this way. I'm like that too. I think it is b/c we feel more comfortable at home. Maybe some time in our life we felt that pooping is embarrassing and now has built a fear doing it in public places. If I have to share a room with someone I try to do it when I know they will not come in the bathroom for a while like when you take a shower turn the water on first and then poop or wait until your roommate leaves or goes to sleep. Its not good to hold it in so you'll have to find a time where it is both convenient for you and for others. Good Luck!

Does a bear shoot in the woods? Yeah, there's no place like home to let her rip. Don't worry about exploding. When a man's gotta go---he'll go. You might hold it a while, but not 2 weeks.
This kind of adaptation (ie., squatting where necassary) ? Think of it as a trial by combat. It's you vs. the Poo monster.

The same reason that some cannot urinate with others around. A nervous response to others. If it comes down to you feeling like you'll explode I'm sure the problem will fix itself.

LMBOOOOOOOOO sorry but I have that exact same problem and I always have. It's terrible..... My kids are the same... I bring a gentle natural stool softener/laxative, cause otherwise I'd have issues.....maybe you should try that, like Metamucil...
I think it's because we are creatures of habit, with extra sensitive systems... and once our routine is disrupted our whole system goes off wack LOL...
Have a great one!!♥☼♪

My friend has the same problem she said that she's afraid of germs and the diseases she might get.
I mean yeah there's germs everywhere. You can't avoid that.
Just make yourself comfortable and poo away. :)
