Well, you've already mentioned the concern about mercury. That is especially important if you are pregnant or nursing, or plan to become pregnant. If you are pregnant, nursing, or plan to become pregnant, try to avoid eating large predatory fish, because heavy metals become concentrated as you go up the food chain.
Its common for some people to develop seafood allergies if they eat it too often, but that tends to run in families. If you have a family history of food allergies, be very alert to reactions. They can be quite severe if they do appear.
Try to work in some vegetarian meals if you can't get or don't like meat. Moderation in all things is best.

The new health kick is all about Omega 3 which is derived from fish. Seafood is a valuable addition to any diet and is highly recommended by all dieticians. Not too sure about Atkins though.
Sounds like you have a really healthy, well balanced diet supplemented by vegetables and occasionally meat (though not, of course, pork).
So don't worry. Yes, there is mercury in the water, but there are some chemicals seeping into the food chain all of hte time. If we worried about everything we ate, we'd all be starving within a month.

Depends on the fish and who's eating it. Advice for pregnant women, for example, can differ greatly. There are certain fish (sharks, for example) which indeed have high mercury content, and would not be good to eat daily. Also, certain areas are known for high mercury content in all fish - you will need to check local advisories. The Environmental Protection Agency gives a great resource with good practical advice for understanding mercury content in fish (see below).
Having said that, though, I agree with other answerers about fish generally being healthy (as opposed to cholesterol-laden shellfish).
