Actually, the answer is yes. He is a Kung Fu master. But he is not neccessarily a Wushu master. There is a big difference. As I have posted in other questions before. The chinese word "Kung Fu" does not specifically refer to fighting skills, but is a generic term for "a hard earned or a well practiced and perfected skill" it can be applied to fighting, cooking, playing music, dancing or even painting. Which is why most chinese martial arts today are referred to as "Wushu" which means the fighting arts, as opposed to the old "Kung Fu" term, to avoid confusion. Since Jackie Chan has mastered his stunt and acrobatic skills so well to the point where he makes it look so easy, he is in fact a master of his own Kung Fu.

Jackie Chan is a Peking Opera performer. He along with Yuen Biao, Corey Yuen, and Sammo Hung were part of the same performance group. He learned martial arts as well as tumbling, dancing, and singing. The training was very, very strict. They started at sunup and did not end until sundown. They were beaten if they did not successfuly complete an act. It wasn't until after he left the opera did he learn more martial arts. He was able to use the skills as a performer to become a stuntman first. He had the agility, endurance, and skill to do it. I wouldn't consider him a master but he does have experience in a lot of different styles.

Jackie Chan is trained in traditional Wu Shu, but I don't know if he'd be considered a "master" in any of the styles he took.
