I have an 'office job' - which means sitting at the computer every day, all day. My back problems range from 'twitching muscles' to general discomfort. What can I do to avoid my back problems getting worse and worse?

The problem is in the thorax area or higher lumbar region.

Do stretching exercises of the back muscles every morning and evening. Do strengthening exercises of the abdomen also. Make sure you desk and chair are ergonomically set for you. Use a lumbar roll, small pillow, in the curve of your back. Get up and walk around every hour. See if a foot rest offers any support.

This sounds like muscle spasms, maybe a chiropractor is in the neighborhood that could give some massages to relieve the stress.
