Butter is definitely not something you'd want to feed your dogs. Don't spoil your dog by giving her human food just because she won't eat her dog food. If you must, use dog gravy (they make special gravy to put on dog food) or canned dog food mixed with dry. However, a dog will not starve itself. If she doesn't eat, thats her tough luck. Don't give her treats or human food. Possibly try a different kind of dry food or consider putting her on a raw diet. With a raw diet though, be sure to do LOTS of research first.
EDITED TO ADD THIS:
Sorry, but Eukanuba really isn't a good brand. Even Science Diet "recommended by vets" isn't the best for your pooch. When looking for dog foods, look at the ingredients label. If it says "by products" of any sort of meat, please don't buy it. By products are horrible, nasty things that aren't fit for human food so they are put in there. Also. try to stay away from glutens. The first ingredient should be some sort of meat meal, probably chicken is most common. Rice is good, but it's better if it's brown rice. Oats are also good. Corn meal and stuff is just fillers. Dog's can't even digest that part. They are primarily carnivores so it's very important that the meat is a main ingredient. I hope this helps!
also adding this: you can give her treats, even bits of human food IF she eats her dog food. Otherwise don't give them to her. Kinda of like a kid. If they don't eat their dinner, no desert.

Butter will do to a dog the same thing it does to a human - clog the arteries and cause early demise. NOT recommended. Also real butter is a dairy product and most milk products will give dogs diarrhea. Especially when consumed to excess.
Talk to your vet.
Try buying some decent dog food (nothing from the grocery store)
Feed smaller meals, more often.

Sure. You can give your dog butter. But all it will do is make them unhealthy. Gaining weight is fine, but weight is not what makes a dog healthy. Nutrition does. There is little to no useful nutrition in butter for a dog. Sounds to me like you spoiled that poor dog. That is why you shouldn't feed dogs human food in the first place. If you really love that dog, then take the dog to the vet and explain the problem to them and follow their advice to the letter.

a little wont hurt, but not a lot, mine also likes butter, she ate a whole pound, once without the wrapper, and once with, she vomited butter grease all over my carpet! could not remove the grease stains, and the vomit was very sour smelling, and she had the runs for about 4 days.she was very sick, and laid around doing nothing for almost a week.
same thing on her second try with the wrapper on, only that time the vomit had the paper in it. needless to say after that the butter is kept well out of reach.

They have stuff that you can pour over your dogs food that will make her want to eat it. Butter is bad for humans and probably worse for dogs. Go to the pet store and find a gravy type thing to put with your dogs food to make it more flavorful, it will be a heck of lot better for her than butter.

As with people, butter in large quantities is not good for your dog. If she likes butter though, try drizzling a lttle bit (1 tsp) of olive oil over her food and mixing in a little garlic pwd. Too much fat in her diet can cause problems with her gallbladder function, as well as high cholesterol and heart problems. If you need to boost her weight, put her on a higher protein diet, like puppy food, and add complex carbs like whole wheat pasta, bread, etc. You can also feed her lean chicken, ground beef, turkey, etc as treats. If you have more questions, you can always check out hillspet.com. Lots of good info from people who's only business is pet food.
Good luck!

Sure it's good source of energy...however it is fat....don't give too much unless your dog is very active (more than 20 mins of running)....too much at once can lead to the "runs" too...No pun intended
You see there are those who think if something is bad for them...it will be bad for their dog....It is what drives the dog food industry...they put stuff into dog food only because people think it is good....Cornell Unv says fat is the best source of energy a dog can eat...it has no adverse reactions like in humans...in fact it keeps the leader the strongest..
