It sounds like the holes are infected. Take the earrings out and let them soak in alcohol or hydrogen peroxide for awhile, also, clean the holes with a little bit. Having been a year since she had them pierced they shouldn't close up that fast.

There should be no pus at all if you've been taking good care of it. But since there is, that means she is allergic to the earring. She's probably allergic to 14k gold (earring-wise). Is this the kind she also had the first time? Take it out and just let it close because the infection could get worse.

Get a second pair of 14K gold earrings [ little birthstones or tiny hoops? ].
Take out original pair, and clean with soap and water [ put washcloth over drain hole ] and soak in alcohol.
Clean earholes with a Qtip and alcohol, until pus seems to be gone.
Clean new ones with alcohol, let dry; and put a little antibiotic ointment on each one before you insert it.
Apply ointment twice a day, on ear holes and earrings, and wiggle them around a little so the ointment goes inside.
Your daughter may be allergic to nickel - look for gold, stainless or surgical steel, or nickel-free earrings.

She may have sensitive ears, I would try a hypoallergenic earring. Also make sure the ears are getting cleaned twice daily with solution, that will make a huge difference. Twirly the earring will help keep crust or infection from forming too. If you take it out it will eventually close up especially if you think it is infected.

my daughter had the same problem, only the skin started to grow over the back of the earring and i had to take her to a surgeon to pull the earring out. what a mess. she asked for pierced ears again since but i remind her how scared she was when she had to go to the drs. take her earrings out. clean the pus out and if it does not clear up within a few days, take her to the Dr. good luck!

Leave the earrings in, but have her soak cotton balls in rubbing alcohol & massage them into he earlobes at least 4 times a day. It will sting like bloody hell, but it kills a lot of bacteria.
If that doesn't clear up the infection, she should see the doctor.

Just put some peroxide on it. It'll clear up in about a couple of days. If not, go to a doctor and seek some medical advice.

as a piercer myself i ask here question as commonplace on the type you're able to have signed for consent ;- does she be stricken by diabetes, epilepsy, hepatitis,HIV or taking any anti coagulation medicine. could desire to one in each and every of them like diabetes be underlying? I easily have had this take place to a girl i pierced as quickly as besides the indisputable fact that it take place on internet site and it grow to be by way of marvel, that can turn your lips a tinge of blue. besides the indisputable fact that this could not be for as long as has been state and propose a ref at recent away on your commonplace practitioner as this could be a protracted reaction!
