Just aviation itself, NOT manufacturing, right?

* Passenger Manifest / Check-in / No-fly-list -- database
* Frequent Flyer Programs -- custom
* Baggage tracking and routing -- hardware and software
* Fuel consumption and prediction and purchase -- market tracking / ERP
* Maintanence database for each plane and part -- database

Need I go on? There's dozens and dozens more...

There exists a plethora of avionics software driving the electronics of the commercial aviation industry. Almost anything electronic has a software control these days and these are becoming complex day by day. So the need for softwares in this industry is always growing and will continue to do so as long as there is flying.

I've been involved in quite a few of these and I've always seen them getting bigger, faster and more efficient as the next upgrade rolls out.
