LOL....I just answered this exact question yesterday....my answer is the same.

This is a free site....you can go anywhere you want to ask or answer questions.

I'm not sure why it bothers some people so much....this isn't life or death it's entertainment.

Everyone is spiritual. Some serve God and the rest serve the
devil. All of us are sinners, but some have trusted God for forgiveness and others haven't. We are spirit beings and the house we live in is what we look at in the mirror every day while the real us cannot be seen with human eyes.

The Bible makes it clear that there are only two groups of people on this earth. The spiritually blind (children of darkness) and the spiritually enlightened (children of light),
servants of Christ and servants of the devil, servants of righteousness and servants of unrighteousness and etc.

Everyone knows which group they are in without anyone telling them. Our conscience makes it clear, and the seed of the knowledge of God planted in everyone verifies it. (Romans 1:19 and 20). For those who refuse to acknowledge it in this life they will not refuse to acknowledge it when they stand before a Holy and All-Powerful God on the day when ALL MEN will be judged.

Freedom of Speech. And because religions, if not spirituality, affect everyone. Just look at parents trying to ban Harry Potter from schools because it portrays witchcraft. Or all the people saying that the US is a Christian country.

The same reason why a person who doesn't agree with Bush on anything is still able to have an opinion about him.

You can have an opinion about organized religion and religious issues and at the same time be non-religious and/or non-spiritual. You don't have to like something, or agree with it, to know how you feel about it and be able to debate it.

Some people are on R&S, who have no religon or are not spirtual, are here to either find out more about religon and spirituality or to prove wrong those who are spirtual and/or religious.

You probbaly ment for no one to answer this question, but I was drawn to because I have asked myself the same question out of frustration from some things that I have read on the R&S board.

You don't have to belong to an organized religion to be spiritual. Many people believe in god but don't run off every sunday to donate their pay check at the local baptist church. Some people choose to worship a god not a church!

Atheism is the rejection of religion. That means it is ABOUT religion. So this is the place to talk about it. And this question gets asked like 50 times a day. Are you guys really that insecure that you can't take criticism?

Cause I study religious belief and the emotions that go with it.

I find church people nice and a little goofy, and I like to learn about their minds.
