I was going to join the airforce and i am thinking about the Navy but i do not want to go out to sea. What is a list of navy jobs that are on land and i will not get sent out on a ship. If I have to go on a ship i do not want to join. Help me. Are there even any jobs that aren't on the ship?

There's a small chance that you could join the Navy and never go to sea. For rates without many sea duty billets (jobs), you'll most likely rotate between jobs in the continental US and jobs overseas. It depends on your job and your paygrade as to how long you will be at each duty station. Why are you thinking of the Navy if you know from the start that you never want to go to sea? When I joined over 10 years ago, I was also worried about being gone so long and being out in the middle of nowhere in the ocean. Now, although it is tough to be without a cell phone and a lot of the other things that most people take for granted, you have the opportunity to travel to the most amazing places in the world...and you're getting paid to do it.

everyone in the navy has to do sea time its a requirement. just like all in the army go overseas to iraq or somewhere. there isnt a job that keeps you on land solely. the navy has land people mostly intell but you still deploy.

all sailors must and i mean must do 6 months at least on a ship
