This is your chance to be his cheerleader! He doesn't need to hear so much about how much you miss him... believe me, he knows all about missing folks... he misses ALL of you!!
When my son was in boot, I sent him a couple things like stupid, silly questionnaires he could just fill in the blanks quickly and send them back... and I sent him newspaper clippings from the local paper... to make him laugh, to keep him informed about what was going on with his local football team, etc... I sent him baseball and football scores and standings... and I'd print up pages of hilarious news stories... just stupid news quips I knew he'd enjoy.
Get creative... He'll love it!

well, you might consider that since everyone else can and probably will be reading those letters, keeping the 'personal stuff' to a minimum will probably make his life easier. also, while you can send him a photo in the letter, keep it a 'pg-13' rating, or if and when you go for graduation, you WILL feel uncomfortable. he's living a communal life right now, so, keep things down to earth. he's probably going to be deployed at some time soon, so, news from home, the everyday things (which he's out of the loop for) will probably be welcome. keep the bad news to a minimum, don't tell him how upset you are, how much you miss him, how you can't live without him.... you know what i'm talking about. also, don't break up with him by mail, ever. it's not a classy move. in general, keep the private things private, and know that right now, he has no privacy. he will have soon enough, and i'm sure he'll love those sort of letters as well. but, for now, it's probably better if you just 'keep it real'.

It has no longer something to do with the Air stress yet him as a individual. He chosen to no longer write and a few adult males are like that. He has extremely graduated BMT via now and is in or on his thank you to Tech college (there's no ruin for them to come again living house and do place of birth Recruiting as yet somebody else mentioned). So the reality that he did no longer provide you the archives to be there looks like there is something else going on besides. the only way he wouldnt be in Tech is that if he became into injured and on carry. Does he communicate together with his family contributors? The buddy he wrote to? ETA: If he's interior the Marines then their Recruit education is 13 weeks long no longer 8, so he nevertheless has a number of weeks to pass, then commencement and then comes living house for 10 days till now going to MOS college. He will possibly no longer have the time to jot right down to you, Marine Recruit education is extreme and the toughest one among all. He might basically have the skill to jot down you on Sundays.

No bad news.
Nothing that asks for a major decision, but you could ask him to tell you what he wants to see you wearing when he gets off the bus/plane when he comes home. (Be prepared for that to change with each letter).
Perfumed letters are nice.
If it's appropriate to your relationship, describing your day shopping at Victoria's Secret is an idea.

When mine was in BOOTCAMP I would tell him how my days were what was going on. and any new news that maybe going on. He misses you too I am sure I never went on and on cause I dint want him to get HELL for the mushy letters us gurls would write but I would put lip stick on and actually kiss the letter and stuff just to make it personal. and I would write it with different colored pens just to add a cute touch to it

I send him silly little wedding things--like what i am thinking about for our wedding. Especially, Sonia, he has decided to make it totally official to my family and friends~!
I love to draw and i send him little comics or drawings and i print pictures out on computer paper so he won't get in trouble for having pictures.
I sent him a St. Anthony medallion the other day, but i am too terrified to send him a letter with perfume or a kiss...^^;;;
Thanks for asking this question, i was about too. <3

Anything that you think he'd enjoy but remember that anything that you write to him is fair game for anyone else to read.
Perfumed letters were always a hit with my ex......
