I'm a Saint, even though there was alot a stuggling through my life, and a lot of wanting to give up.....God has put me in this state of mind where I don't have to want, or be afraid of anything.
Because when I think of the goodness of Jesus, Glory, and all the things He has done for me and all the trails He has brought me out of, tell me why I shouldn't be happy for going insane, and giving up my relationship with God.

The Bible's ethic is not smiles and laughter. Ecclesiastes 7:3 says: "Sorrow is better than laughter, because a sad face is good for the heart." This puts the Bible outside of the mythological ethic. I have a sneaking suspicion that smiling is a democratic evidence of having accepted the social contract of a loss of personal freedoms in exchange for protection of your rights. Christians prefer real-life positive outcomes that result from integrity. Verse 1 of that chapter says: "A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth."
This is where the encouragement to repent has an ethical basis as established within the text. James 4:7-10 says: "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up."
Cults tend to emphasis the transitory benefits of Christianity. They emphasise pride in personal achievement, health benefits, job skills, personal development etc. Within the cult, there is a huge dob-artist atmosphere.

My mood changes with every passing moment. Christianity does not provide a guarantee of achieving earthly happiness, and quite the contrary proposes that some suffering is a necessary part of life.
Christianity instead proposes a means to attain eternal happiness.

And yet those Christians who later become atheists frequently report that the transition is accompanied by a strong sense of relief. Why is that, I wonder?
Still, there are no doubt case where the reverse is true, when atheists who don't fully understand the case for atheism, and covert to Christianity. I'm sure that whatever is bugging them is also relieved.
The comfort value of a belief system has nothing to do with its validity. In fact, you should suspect a comforting worldview, because you can't approach it with equanimity.

Yes I am, The Bible Says So:
In fact, this year marks the middle of my life as a Christian. I spend 33 1/2 years in darkness, and the second 33 1/2 years as a firm believer.
I've been there, done that, and will never return. And, their is proof of Jesus' Messiahship in a Bible code at:

It's kind of a grin most of the time.
I don't know where atheists are with their 'happy meter', but I hope they're at least grinning too. So much to be thankful for.
'turn your frown upside down...' - that one bugs me too, sorry about that.
