If the person doing it has family and friends that care about them, it is the most selfish thing a person can do.

I'm one that has never and will never want to commit suicide even if I am at my lowest low. I do think that an individual has many ways to get help with whatever problem it is they may have. I do believe that every individual handles each situation defferently but there IS always help. There IS always someone whether you may think so or not that cares for and loves you. I do think that people that commit suicide are in a way very selfish because they're not thinking of how that decision can effect those around them. Individuals have the right to do and say as they please so I'm not going to tell you not to do. What I am going to tell you is that, I think life is very precious and shouldn't be mistreated. Everyone go's through their highs and lows and still manage to get through it with a little help. They get help whether through faith, love from family and/or friends or whoever, counseling group, etc. I tyink that before anyone decides to take there own life, they should really think if it's worth it. Alot of people have gone or are going through what you're going through right now. My dad left my mom for another woamn a month after I turned 15. She was pregnant with my sister at the time. I am now 23 years old and my mom re married and is very happy. My dad put us through alot of hell but we survived and moved forward. Siblings fight and argue alot between each other. I did that alot with my younger brother and sister. I symphathize about your lost loved ones but each person will eventually die when it's their turn to go.

I will commit suicide soon. It is a very long story. Maybe I'll add much more to this later.

It is not the suicide that is so important as the suicide note. I have written about 30 "books" that explain it. They are stored as about 10 GB. I have no friends. I was wrongfully effectively fired from the only job I would ever have had at the Patent Office. I suffer from psychosis and osteoarthritis. My landlord attempted very hard to wrongfully evict me. I eventually "prevailed," but who ever really wins after an experience like that?

I eventually learned that I have virtually no rights, and I have no allies at all. I hope my "suicide note" is of interest to someone. I won't be around, but perhaps someone will learn something.

[Cuttingtokill, I am terribly sorry to hear about what has happened to you. I would give anything in this world to somehow help you. I feel so helpless. I need to somehow help you, but I don't know how.

Have you been talking to mental health professionals? I was once at a mental hospital where I saw many youngsters who routinely cut themselves. In some of your posts you seem to suggest that you might be doing this to yourself.

You sound like you are so very young. I am half a century old, and I do know that as overlyoptimistic as this sounds, life will get better for you. I doubt that it could ever get worse. Perhaps your terribly difficult life experiences can help guide you in deciding what you want to do with your life. I sincerely wish you the very best.

By the way, please go to a hospital emergency room immediately. They will take you seriously, and I believe you'll be surprised at how many people really do love you.]

[[Cuttingtokill, I am very, very worried about you. Please go to a hospital emergency room immediately. Show them your scars or cuts. Talk to them. They most assuredly will not make you feel like a fool. I have seen many youngsters who cut themselves, and they do have treatment options of many types for people who cut themselves or who think about suicide.

Do not feel ashamed. There are many successful people who have had problems similar to what you are now experiencing.

Suddenly, my own concerns seem so petty to me.]]

I personally think that it is a very selfish and self center way to die. Not only are you hurting the people that love you. You are also messing up your love ones live. The will go Thur a mountain of questions that are never any satisfactory answers. They will blame them selves or others for not helping the person with their problems. My daughter's boyfriend did that 3 years ago. The family has been torn apart and my daughter has not been the same person since. Please don't even consider this as a solution to a problem.

I think it's very sad when a person loses all hope in all things. And decides to end it all. Just because one area of ones life isn't going well. Doesn't mean we should give up on all of them. I know of people who have done it. One of them was a close relative. Though a few years have past. When I think of him. I feel bad and wish he would have given himself a chance. A chance to change the things that were causing him so much unhappiness. A chance to have met the right person for him. Even the chance that a relocation a whole brand new start might have brought.

Suicide is all part of a mental illness. Suicide has scarred my husband for the rest of his life. He found his father after he had committed suicide. It effects everyone around that person and leaves them with feeling of anger, dispair, and loss. If someone is contemplating suicide they should consider how much it is going to scar their family and friends. There are always people involved with the person contemplating suicide who will be effected in some way. There are underlying issues that cause people to commit suicide and they need to be dealt with. If help is available why not take advantage of it and spare the people who care for you from the anguish that it causes.

I will have to say don't do it. the problem of those who commit suicide is that they only see the empty half of the glass. If they look at the bigger picture, and see how other people have more worries (not only the poor, but also the rich) and more serious problems, they would feel greatful for what they have
Oh, and I don't think you will hear from the side that DID IT!

Having once been suicidal myself, I can say that there are always other ways out. What are your reasons for wanting to commit suicide? Determine the problem and just eliminate it. I'm not saying that if your problem is a specific person that you should kill them or anything, but just get away from them. And that goes for any problem. Running away is not cowardly. If you've tried to face a problem and you just can't, it's okay to give up trying to solve it. Don't give up on your life, give up on what makes your life so bad. Hope this helps!

Stupid idea. We don't have the right to take our own lives. It's a sin, and it's a bad idea. It's the coward's way out. A lot of times you'll go through depression, and it seems like killing yourself is the easiest way out. If you're tough enough not to do it though, you will be extremely happy later, when things will be much better. If you're thinking of doing it, too bad. There's life beyond this life. This is just a transitional stage. If you take your own life, it is not only selfish, but you end it all. Your soul will not go on. It's the most selfish and stupid thing to do. Don't do it!

Its the only way for some.
Life fux us all, we all have crappy times and depression. Loss of money and deep regret. We will all suffer in this life. If there is a hell, i'm sure we're all in it right now.

I am very bored and nothings worse, feeling useless, staying at home all the time and being put down, it's much worse for some. People who may have lost loved ones, or split up with the girlfriend, and feel they are useless and empty, eventually it all builds up and they can't take no more, so they take their life. There's alwasy going to be bad times in life, also good ones, i'm going to Ibiza for holiday in a few weeks and i can't wait, that's true happiness. We should just stick by it, wait for the good times, Even though the bad times SEEM to overtake them. Everybody knows life can suck, "Life sucks and than you die".

Suicide is a state of mind that only the person thinking of doing it can answer.not one person can say don't do it because they have no idea what the person is going through. I say if you are going to think about suicide then you better think of the consequences of doing it. Where will you end up? What will it do for the ones that you love and love you? make sure you think hard about what you are doing before doing it.
