just need more input on the Matrix and the Plato's cave similarity and what do you think about Reloaded and Revolution. I believe that the hole Matrix experiences ends at the first movie. After that it depends in how you take it , and how you want your freedom to be.

There are many philsophies at work in the Matrix:
the Oracle follows Constructive Reality--reality is defined by what you believe.

Morpheus believes in Fate--things happen because they are the result of Destiny.

Agent Smith believes in Nihilism--things exist simply to end/quit existing.

The Merovingian believes in Causailty--everything happens due to cause-and-effect.

Watch the films again and you will find that they are ALL correct....but only for themselves.

Other than that, the Matrix was just a mish-mash of Gnosticism (knowledge is the key to understanding the nature of the universe and reality; the world isn't what you think it is), the Illuminati, and The Dystopian Future. Oh....Neo also follows the Hero's Journey as illustrated by Joseph Campbell.

There are 3 differing interpretations of the first film:

1.) It's set in the future.

2.) It's set in the present day, and we're all in the Matrix.

3.) It's set in the present day, there isn't a Matrix at all and Morpheus is an evil cult leader who brainwashes his subjects such as Neo and Trinity into committing acts of terrorism by making them take the red pill and thus imprisoning them in a hallucinatory world. (The pill might have been spiked with a drug but this wouldn't really be necessary, since once they had taken the red pill they would essentially be hypnotised anyway). Note that in the first film we do not see any of the other ships, and the only account of the city of Zion comes from a character who sounds even more brainwashed than the others. In this interpretation the 'real' Matrix is a group delusion created by Morpheus himself and the other 7 are living in it.

As for the 2 sequels the less said the better. see ya

Well actually I see a lot of Christian symbolism. The Matrix could be living in sin, and when you awake you see the world as it is. A system of control. But there is one, a Messiah, who would deliver the world from sin and end up sacrificing his own life. And the Messiah could also dodge and stop bullets and jump from building to building. And apparently he likes Rage Against the Machine.

i could stay contained in the Matrix and journey my steak, if-and provided that-brokers have been taken out of the Matrix. The human beings and machines share a symbiotic courting. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that human beings have been captured so as that the machines could desire to harness our physique warmth to offer electrical energy, they positioned is in a existence simulator. i've got self assurance as though it replaced right into a present day from the machines, a present day that we did not deserve, by way of fact we (in accordance to the Matrix animation video clips that known interior the 2nd movie) led to the conflict between machines and human beings, and that we've been to blame for blotting out the solar. We, as a human beings, have failed as protectors of the earth, and that i've got self assurance that for us to proceed living the lives we live as we communicate, we'd all could desire to be around up and positioned into the Matrix. for sure, by way of fact of brokers interior the Matrix, we actually haven't any loose will in any respect, and by way of this, i could decide for to be pulled out and face the actual worldwide.

Sorry, I only saw the first movie. I found it a rather nice concept, but didn't feel I needed to see it more than twice and didn't feel that the next movies were going to improve on the concept.
