One thing is certain. The pope has no power to make anyone
a saint - that is only possible through the blood of Jesus Christ and the salvation that comes through Him and Him alone.
As far as Jerry Falwell is concerned - I think it is time that you self-righteous bigots leave a dead man rest! Your turn will come and the Bible says you will reap what you sow. You need to learn the old adage - "Let your words be sweet today for you may have to eat them tomorrow."

The pope cant make anyone a saint. Falwell wasn't Catholic anyway. Just because a human being calls someone a saint doesn't mean they are one.

No man on this earth can "make" anyone a saint. Especially not the Pope. A man who thinks he is God. Don't get me started!

Only God can make saints. Canonization is just our way of saying, "Look, God made a saint!" and giving Catholics Catholic role models. For that reason, the Church does not canonize non-Catholics.

No I don't think so. Mother Teresa isn't even officially a saint yet.

I think they were pretty much alike in a lot of ways.
But I doubt if either of them is a saint.

Might as well. If he can do it for that scheming, lying, sadistic Albanian ratbag, anyone is fair game.
