I noticed one lone gray hair growing out of the swirly part of the back top of my head about a year ago. I have not noticed anymore. Everyone in my family went gray well into their late 30s and 40s, so genetically it does not seem as if premature graying should be a problem for me. Any clue what may have caused this one gray hair? Could it just be one little odd ball?

Im 20 and I have 4 gray hairs. They're more white than gray actually. I started off with only one when I was 17. I know its not genetical because no one in my family got gray hair early. My mom thinks its because I permanently straighten my hair. i dont know what it is but its weird and i just hope it stops

Could be. I had a friend that had to two inch wide spot of gray hair that ran down the side of her hair. she try every thing to get rid of it. It wouldn't take dye are anything, she finally just had her hair streaked to hid it, It also could be a family trait that appeared on you. My next to the youngest son has a spot of gray also. Know one else in the families do.

I started having stray white hairs--really more pure white than gray (I'm a blonde)--when I was in 4th grade. My grandma 'tastefully' called attention to it at Thanksgiving dinner. I have one in my eyebrow, too. They do seem to be odd balls--I'm in my early 30s and have yet to go gray. Maybe it's stress? I say pull it out and forget about it! Otherwise, L'Oreal sells all types of hair color to gently cover grays.

gray hair can come at any age... it all depends on how old your ma and people in your family were when they got theres... also if you have had a lot of stress that may be due to it as well.. if it is only one strand dont worry about it pull it out and it will no longer be there

I had a few gray hairs when I was 15. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

maximum black headed individual gets gray hair early...i'm 30 and that i've got had some stains of gray hair or approximately 15 years or so now..while i replaced into pregnant it replaced into fairly undesirable and my husband replaced into scared for me to colour it...yet now I only colour it so I won't have gray hair so youthful.

It might have been from a period of time when you were stressed. My brother is 27 and he already has gray hair. so don't worry about it.

Yeah its nothing to worry about everyone has a least one grey hair some where on their head. I personaly have never found a grey hair on my head but i have so many colors in my hair. My hair is mainly blonde but i have found red, black, brown and many other colors some where in my head there is a grey one. and i'm only twelve. : DDDDD
