OK-I will tell you my secret and I never used this before getting married, and having to buy an ivory long dress, but it worked for me.

I always struggle with my weight, and didn´t want to get married because I was heavy. My fiance signed me up for a 2 month membership to a health club, and I discovered a way to look really great-get this...resistance training! I learned how to strenghten and tone for the first time in my life, I followed a lower carb diet, and I walked for about 30-45 minutes every other day. Hey, I´m 43 years old, and didn´t think it would work.

Well, I was seperated from my fiance about a month before my wedding (this is because my 90 day stay was up in Germany where he lives) and so I had a month on my own to improve. I bought those cute 6 pound weights, continued on program-my best friend worked with me as well-and when my fiance saw me a week before the wedding he couldn´t believe how much I had changed.

My Dad, who is always trim and fit, even complimented me on how great my arms looked, and he doesn´t give out a lot of compliments!

If you need someone to help you, I am on my computer just about every day. I will be glad to E-mail you and support your efforts-I know how important it is to look good on this day, and for the rest of your life. Please E-mail me-we can work on this together. If a 43 year old with a slow metabolism can lose inches, you can too!

There's no fast healthy way to lose weight, but you can def. do some shaping up before the big day. Stick to an 1800 calorie-a-day diet, and make sure you are including a lot of lean protien (like chicken and fish), whole grains, low-fat dairy, and fruits and veggies. Eliminate anything fried or processed. Start walking once a day for an hour or so, and try to get little bouts of exercise in throughout the day, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator at work. You won't lose 50 pounds, but you will slim down and feel better too.

First off, you didn't say who long before your wedding, and secondly, you didn't say why you NEED to lose weight. Is you dress too small? Can it be altered? Did someone insult you?

Women need to get over the stigma of being FAT! I'm a plus size bride, I had stomach surgery 25 years ago to lose weight and still gained it back. I'm the way God wants me to be. My wedding gown looks just fine on me.

If you still feel you need to loose weight, DON"T stop eating. That will only cause you to binge eat and gain more in the end. Just monitor your portions, (eat a little less) and have a few small meals during the day instead of 3 large meals and start walking, say in your neighborhood at least 30 minutes a day. You'll be surprised how quickly you will start losing weight and toning up at the same time. Drink plenty of WATER as it will help you flush toxins out of your system and brighten you complexion.

But most of all, be comfortable in your skin. You are what GOD made you to be. If he wanted you to be 98 lbs., then you would be. I'm sure you are very beautiful as you are, you just need a little self esteem lift. GOD bless you and congratulations.

Can you walk or bike ride to work? I had 15 lbs to lose and lost it all within a few months after I started biking to work.

You should aim to lose about 2 lbs per week. Any more than that is very unsafe. That means in 12 weeks you could lose about 25 lbs. Try watching what you eat - eat more veggies. Instead of snacking on cookies, eat fruit or carrots and dip! Also, if you want pasta, have a veggie tomato sauce instead of a white cream sauce.

Can you join a gym? Do cardio for 30 minutes 4-5 times a week.

It depends on how much weight you are looking to loose. But I would say the fastest and healthiest way would be weight watchers. I lost in two months on weight watcher 30lbs and that was with little exercise if you did a good combo of both I think you could drop 30-40 lbs in 3 months maybe more..Good luck!

Many gyms have a bridal boot camp. I'd inquire with your local gym to see if they offer that service. If not I would do it yourself with diet and excerise. Limit your calorie in take to 1000 calories a day and excerise 2 - 3 time a day. It's really hard but you just have to think of the finishline. Then once you are at your goal weight maintain it by keeping your calories intake at 1600. Good Luck!

The actual 'fastest way'... is immeduate cosmetic surgery. But I'm presuming that you don't want to do that.

Otherwise... eat a lot less, and especially cut out a lot of the fats, carbs, and sugars on your diet. That stuff's killing you anyway. Fill up on veggies as much as you want, and keep those meats lean. Eat more fish and fowel instead of red meats. Quite simply, you have to change those bad eating habits! Stay away from fast foods, and all of those nasty junk foods! Ugh. That stuff will take YEARS off of your life!

And exercise, exercise, exercise.. as much as you can stand. Move away from the TV and the keyboard... and just DO IT! :-)

We changed how we eat by having yougurt fruit salad or special k cheerios not junky cereal for breakast then we have chicken fish spaghetti and veggies for lunch then a small salad or something healthy for dinner! We stopped drinking soda all together and now drink water and crystal light! my fiance lost 30lbs in two months! he gained alot of sympathy weight when i was pregnant! you see eating your biggest meal at lunch time means the rest of the day walking working etc will burn it off! If you eat your largest meal at 5-6 pm its going to sit in your stomach while you sleep and its no good! Also he walked a 1/2 mile after dinner everynight!! good luck

I consistently lost an average of 2 lbs a week on weight watchers (and I didn't even exercise)...so if you have similar results it would help you lose up to 24-ish lbs, maybe more if you workout. It costs $12 a week and you don't have to buy special food or anything in addition. Good luck!
