Okay im hooking up my TV. . .and ive never hooked up a tv before.
Im using the same equipment as my old tv.
Im using the following stuff:
Dish DVR, like a Tivo only dumber and cheaper
An adapter, it hooks into my xbox, then the tv, and into my DVR
And 1 cord leading from my satelite dish to the DVR
So. . .does anyone know how to hook that all up?

Connect your dish to your DVR and then to your TV using the best connection it has (S-Video, Component, DVI, then HDMI which is best). Get that working first.
Forget about connecting your XBox to your DVR, connect it directly to the TV for better quality and then you will use your TV's input selector to change between DVR and XBox.
