I bought this used Pentax film camera (zx-10) and it just make a buzzing sound when I try to focus or take a pic....I'm guess it just doesn't work...any ideas?

With battery operated items, always start by replacing the batteries. If you have tried that, try removing them for 10 minutes (to reset the device) or look for a reset button (usually recessed and pressed with a sharp object).
If all your efforts fail and it requires repair, it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one. I would really consider a used buy from eBay (film cameras are REALLY cheap).
Also, consider a digital camera like a low end Canon. You can get your pix printed for less than 20c each at Walmart, Longs, etc. if you really like to have the prints.
