If one kills the other ~ then you will only have one anyway. Plus a mess to clean up.

I don't know what website you read- my two male hamsters were the most antisocial creatures I've ever met! They were fine hanging out together in the cage until they reached adulthood, and then every time they even looked at each other it was like watching a really tiny UFC match, complete with blood and missing teeth! Finally we had to buy a second cage so each hamster could have his own little apartment. Have you considered doing that? Hamster cages aren't terribly expensive. If they're only just now reaching adulthood, their fighting is going to get worse and worse, and they will literally fight to the death. Good luck.

I think maybe u misunderstood ur info. Yes, hamsters r very social.........with human's, but not one another!!! They r solitary creatures by nature---they do no get lonely. As some other's said, remove one immediately cuz it could very likely be a fight to the death. Keep in mind if u have m/f the female may already be pregnant. She will usually only, "welcome" the male when she is in heat & then later become very aggressive toward him.........& yes, the next day look like they're best bud's!!! But, more than likely, one will be killed if u don't remove it! I suggest u Google, 'Hamster Care,' & double check ur info. Sorry! good Luck! >>>ZETA!!!

I would definitely remove one and it back to the pet store. I really didn't think Hamsters got along. I have always only ever had one at a time. And people I know who have had 2, one has always ended up being killed. Just to be on the safe side I would take one back. Sorry.

My friend had two female dwarf hamsters who lived together just fine for 8 months then one day they started ripping into each other so they now live in seperate cages and are very happy hamsters indeed.
You must seperate them though, when hamsters fight, they will fight to the death. Dont worry about taking one back, just simply buy another cage.

I had the same problem. I had towo female hamsters and they started fighting i asked the guy at the pet store and he said that when they get older htey become very tuitorial and they need their own space. He said to keep them active buy them hamster wheels and let them waste energy also try buying to cages because they will kill each other good luck!!

Move them apart! It might be hard, but I have two dwarfs hamsters that I got and they started fighting. It came to blood and scars! Please, unless you want them to suffer move them apart. Although it might seem like they are lonely without one another, it really is best if you seperate them. Either buy another cage for the other hamster or, like you said, give it back to pet store. It might be hard, but remember, it's best for the hamsters!

I would seperate them now but instead of giving one back to the pet store, i would build a small pen out of scrap wood and set it close to the other one for a while. If one is pregnant, they will continue to fight until the babies are born.

I would sperate them get a new cage!! If you set up a playpen and then put them together in it for like 10 minutes or more everyday they won't be lonely cuz they will continue to see each other but they won't live with each other anymore!
