can i get a mod chip so it works with us ps2 games, and also can you download quicktime, real player, veoh, windows media player, divx.

There is no mod chip for ps3 yet, u can still play real player and divx but u will have to install lunix as other os.
It allows u to use the ps3 some what like a pc.
If u become an expert on that u can even install windows xp by using linux and have the media player.

though yes you can use software with your ps3, you just have to install linux first.
