Yet another theologically inspired bran muffin question.

Well, I don't think it really would be ethical...
but on the other hand...they sure are good aren't they???!!?!? I like mine with raisins..

I always cringe at issues of "Biblical rights and wrongs". Those questions bring the fundies out of the woodwork like roaches.

I suppose for the "purist" they would have a fit. Fundamentalists might have something to say, but those bozos use leavened bread when they serve the "Lord's Supper".

Why not bran muffins . . . they certainly are like the unleavened bread that Jesus would have used . . . wholesome, natural, homemade?

Theological derivations come from actions such the breaking, offering, taking into his hands, Passover, etc. as well as a knowledge of the Jewish Passover.

Go for it.

They would not BE a Eucharist. The Eucharist has to be the fruit of a valid consecration to be a Eucharist. Bran muffins would invalidate the Sacrament.

Sounds like a great idea to me. But don't you think blueberry muffins would be better ?. Perhaps with a nice Beaujolais Villages C1979 ? Folks ?

well personally i think you could use anything
thats the point of communion
jesus realized that he was the spirit that animates all forms
he is everywhere and everything
so are you
thats what he was trying to get across
i dont think he wanted to be worshiped
