Hot tubs are wonderful fantasies that in my experience, no one ever uses, go with the porch.

No contest. Go with the porch. It will increase the value of your home. A jacuzzi will not. The porch, over time, will probably get more use. The porch (depending on where you live) could possibly be used all year, whereas even in the deep south, you wouldn't use a jacuzzi all year. Plus, there is the maintenance and cleaning of a jacuzzi.

Without a doubt it would be the screened porch. It would get more use and add to the value of your house. After the newness of the Jacuzzi wears off you'd probably wish you had done the screened porch.

Well, of course I'd like a jacuzzi... but I know for a fact that I HATE to clean them....
All things considered, if you can only choose one right now, go for the screened in porch... Save up more $$$ to be able to buy a jacuzzi later on... and install it in your screened in porch... All good things come to those who wait...

Screened porch. We like to entertain outdoors as much as possible and wouldn't be able to do so without the screened room. A jacuzzi always sounds like a good idea until you get tired of it. The porch will add value.

I would definitley go for the screened in porch. I've had a jacuzzi before and it got torn out after about 5 years. They are a lot of work and bacteria can grow very quickly if left unattended for more than a couple of days (vacation?). With the porch at least you can use it all the time, no prep, no chemicals, and you won't have to worry about your electricity bill.

Personally, I live in the South and during the summer we have all kinds of bugs. Especially those annoying gnats and mosquitos, ugh! I'd opt for the screened in back porch a million times over. I'd save up for the jacuzzi later, of course, but I just can't stand bugs!

Screened porch definitely.
It will expand your usable living space for three seasons of the year, and it will increase the value of your home. A jacuzzi requires too much maintenance, can be a liability (see attractive nuisance statutes in your area), and is usually ugly.
