My almost 2 year old son filled his ears with mud today. I rinsed them out with water. Should I take him to the dr? Maybe try a home remedy? I'm just scared because he is prone to ear infections.

Geez, I don't know for sure, but I'd give him a shower and observe him. I wouldn't poke in the ear. Though it wouldn't hurt to call the doc or the help line if your insurance has one.

If you have peroxide around rinse his ears with that, you might CALL the doctor or nurse line and ask what further steps you can take and just watch him for the next week for infection and if he starts presenting take him to the doctor.

Since he is prone to ear infections, take him to the doctor. The doctor may be able to prescribe something to help clean the ear out. Don't you just love these creative moments your child has!! LOL!! Good Luck!

I would take him to the doctor. Probably the mud didn't get too far in, but to be safe the doctor needs to look in his ears to be sure .

Yes, take him to the Dr. There is no telling how far the dirt particles went into his ear canal. Also, explain to him that the only muddy looking things that are in holes on your body is your doo-doo and your bottom and to not put mud anywhere. Make sure he know that his bottom makes it's own mud. Good Luck!

You should defiantly take him to the doctor and not risk infection. The last thing that you need right now is a misbehaving child that is uncomfortable as well.

Wow...thats detrimental. First permit me say that the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. maximum rapists grow to be that way, because of the fact they have been raped. maximum infant rapists grow to be that way because of the fact they have been raped as a infant. you may desire to guard your son. you may desire to take him to a doctor and doubtless see approximately getting some form of momentary restraining order on your spouse. have you ever tried to ask your son while his backside beginning hurting? If i've got been you i could completely suspect the comparable factor you do. with a bit of luck in case you will get him faraway from her now, he won't undergo in techniques any of this while he's older. i be attentive to if this grow to be happening to my son, i could do in spite of it took to guard him alongside with keeping him from his mom until eventually you artwork out what is going on. (this won't be criminal however, yet i firmly have confidence that oldsters might desire to have the right to do in spite of it takes to guard their young little ones, no rely if this is criminal or not.)

take him to the doctor cuz they can rinse it out better. most doctors take a sukky tube (im not sure what its called) and they fill it with warm water and all the stuff in his ear will come out.

I never did that but when I was little and my mother washed my ears, she used to say, "Potatoes would grow in there".

Think about it.
