You may want to try a grip for you pen. These are just foamy type thigs that you slip onto the bottom of you pen that will widen your grip and may reduce pain. You can find them in the home and office section of your favorite store.

The way it sounds, it sounds like after doing the same repetitive thing over and over, you could have some type of arthritis in your hand from writing so much, and if you do alot of PC typing then you could also get carpel tunnel syndrome.

nothing to fear about..the best thing you can do right now is go see a specialist to CONFIRM that you may have arthritis and see a massage therapist about how to help relieve the pain from arthritis or they can help you find some kind of natural herb supplement that can help.

Is it possible that you are gripping the pen too tightly? Have you tried doing some gentle wrist, hand, arm and shoulder stretches each day? It may be that you need to see a physical therapist or a specialist in repetitive stress injuries.

maybe you could try using a pen with softgrip. It has kind of cushioning around it, to make it easier to get a grip on and more comfortable to hold, especially for long periods of time. Try Pilot Dr. Grip.
