God's presence is not dictated by circumstances. God does not equal what is happening in your life. God is his own person. Likewise, he wants to be pursued not because he is a genie and able to make all of life's struggles disappear. God wants to be followed for the who he is and not what he can do. It is often in the times of trials and desperation where God is pointing at our own selfish pursuit of God. At the core, we are very narcissistic people and want God on our terms. We don't want to be put on God's terms

He is with you. If not your problem would have gotten worser.
Always be optimistic and think that the problem didn't get worser that this.
A story:
A man died and his events in life were represented as foot steps on sand. During his happy days there were two pairs of steps(God and the man) while in difficult part of his life there were only single pair of foot steps. The man angrily asked "Were were you during my difficult days" God said "I was carrying you on my shoulders".

There was a time when I was walking in the sands, I saw another two steps following me those were my happy moments.
But when I was in trouble I saw only one pair of steps on the sand, I was upset

That's my favorite quote about God, because it's really a sort of pragmatic atheism. Why rely on God to solve your problems? What if "God" is just a name for your own personal resources? Even on the theory that God exists, why tax Him with fulfilling every petty need you have?

The only way you can talk to GOD is by praying, if you pray hard enough, then you can get most of your prayers answered. GOD can be very tricky, and his ways of giving things to us is very clever.
