Of the registries you mention, I don't think it matters. The oldest and most respected registry is the American Kennel Club or AKC. The other registries accept dogs that are not eligible for AKC registry. They are often purchased from pet stores or are mixed breed dogs. You can find plenty of those at the local humane society. Pet store dogs often come from puppy mills. I would suggest that if you want a pure bred puppy, you research the breed that you want, and then seek a puppy from a reputable breeder. If you do not need a pure bred puppy, then see if you can rescue a puppy that needs a home. Check out petfinder.com
Chewing is normal. Give the puppy plenty of chew toys, keep the puppy confined to a small play area to avoid accendents and protect the puppy from chewing something dangerous like an electrical cord. User Bitter Apple spray for other things you do not want the puppy to chew. Never put bitter apple on you hands.

UKC- United Kennel Club founded 1898
CKC- Canadian (not Continental)Kennel Club 1880
AKC- American Kennel Club 1884
APRI- American Pet Registry Inc
AKC Fact
AKC DNA Profiling is required if a stud dog is classified as a Frequently Used Sire, meaning that he has produced 7 or more litters in his lifetime or more than 3 litters in a calendar year.
CKC Fact
Dogs over 6 months of age which have no previous registration history may be registered by providing 2 witness signatures(like the registration buyer above?) attesting to the purebred status of the dog along with 3 photos (front, left and right) of the dog to confirm it is ‘of proper breed type’ as defined by our current CKC Registration Rules and Regulations.
AKC harder to acquire.
Ask the breeder if they "can show you" a 3rd generation Pedigree on the sire and damn. If they can you know they are true. With CKC they may not be able to do that. Cause they my have just found the male or female sent in a picture and got registered with CKC. You can find 3rd generation Pedigree on CKC too. That is one thing you can ask to see. If the breeder owns the sir and damn.
Personally I prefer AKC. I have 2 AKC and 2 CKC

NONE!!!! All three of these registries (unless the CKC is really the Canadian Kennel Club) are legit registries. They are all scams used by BYB/Mills in otherwords irresponsible breeders to make people believe they are buying a registered puppy when the fact is the papers from these registries are worthless..not worth the paper they are written on..you could make up "papers" yourself on the computer that are worth just as much as one from a scam registry and they would be cheaper.
Breeders who use these type of registries are not good breeders and should be avoided.

None of these are considered reputable registries at all. They were made up by puppymillers, pet shops and backyard breeders as a way to register their dogs. You might as well get a dog without papers for what these registries are actually worth.
AKC is the best registry in the US and you will be much better off going with a breeder who uses this registry. Tho still do your proper breeder research, just cuz they AKC register doesn't make them reputable.

AKC is the best registry along with UKC..
A.C.A, CKC, and APRI you can register just about anything with 4 legs as long as it looks like the breed.. They usually sell for the cheapest because you never know what your getting..

AKC is the best bet, CKC or UKC if you are looking at a breed that is not recognized by AKC.
