A lot of the stories in the Bible are there to show people what not to do. It proves nothing. And where did you get the idea that men who are drunk are not very impregnating- ask all the girls who got pregnant when they were both drunk!!

Yes it's all a lie, everything "pastor mike" said was a lie, the word sex is not used in the bible.
Also keep in mind that God did command that we "multiply". They were in a no win situation, so they chose incest and children, over loneliness and death. The moral of the 'story' is to keep going.

There are lots of mistakes and contradictions in the bible.
It has been translated from 2-3 languages,
and biblical scholars don't even know who wrote the bible.
ie. the gospel according to Mark, was not written by Mark.
You can have faith in god
but not absolute assurance in every literal word in the bible.

i would agree with you that it doesn't make sense. if the guy drank so much that he didn't know his daughter was trying to sleep with him, odds are he would have trouble getting the "hydraulics" to work. more likely the father was an alcoholic and raped his daughters and changed the story to make his daughters look bad instead of him. or the whole think is fake.
