Seasons 1 and 2 were the best! Scully and Mulder were always arguing logicall explanations vs supernatural/alien proof, and you didn't know the true motives of anyone else higher up the chain of command (like Skinner). I loved the one where the guy working as a telemarketer saw his co-workers being turned into monsters, and the liver-eating shapechanger episode too.

My favorite X-Files episodes involve the character "Eugene Toombs" played by Doug Hutchinson (who also played Perce Wetmore in The Green Mile). His character woke up every 30 years, ate 5 livers, then hibernated again for another 30. He was able to attack people because of his ability to go through vents, grates, etc, he could stretch his body, like of like Mr. Fantastic. It was one of the 1st episodes I saw, and scared me nearly to death.
