Yes. According to the Bible (Genesis) God put Adam into a deep sleep and made Eve out of his rib...It's not all that unbelievalbe hey...he made Adam from the dust of the ground.
And no men do not have on less rib...if you have surgery to have your gallbladder removed that doesn't mean your children will be born without a gallbladder.

Yes, it is true.

Just because everyone has the same number of ribs doesn't necessarily mean anything. It can't prove otherwise, because the number of ribs a person get doesn't code on the same chromosome that codes for a person's gender.

That's why we all have the same number of ribs. Adam may have had one less rib than his wife, but it wasn't a trait he passed on to mankind.

In the Biblical account, God created Adam from the dust of the earth and then formed Eve from the rib of Adam and called her "woman" because she came out of man.

I'm not sure why God's methodology is so disturbing to you.

No, not exactly. He mad Mrs. Adam from Mr. Adam's rid. God called THEIR name Adam.
But, yes, he did make her from Adam's rib.
