Maybe because you were FORCED. Being baptized has nothing to do with anyone else except for the person being baptized and his or her belief, god, or whatever your belief is. Being baptized is YOUR choice, because you have come to a point in your life when you are ready to devote yourself to your religion. If your forced, then whats the point. To become baptized means you have chosen to lead a different life. A better life. But the decision is yours and yours alone. It is actually the biggest the decision a person will make in their entire life. Your mother is not going to save you. Nor will your father, brother, sister and so on, only the one your baptizing yourself to, is the one who can save you. Be baptized is sacred and should be done so with respect to whom your baptizing yourself to. God?

First of all baptism should not be forced- it should be done when a person is ready to make an outward expression of an inward change. Have you ever accepted Christ as your Savior- that is the main thing. Honestly , when I was baptized I did not "feel" anything different either- it was done in obedience. I knew it was the right thing to do- I made the decision for myself. Live your life in praise to God-

Because forcing religion on someone else doesn't make that person religious, in the same way that forcing someone to marry you doesn't make them love you.

You have to want a relationship with God yourself. No matter how much your mother wants this for you, she can't create it by dragging you off to get baptized.

Because you were forced and the concept is based on your own free will and choice. Nothing happened because you were not involved in the act.

Don't sweat it. There is nothing wrong with you. Your baptism will come when you choose and know why you are doing it. You must know Jesus first and then be baptized as His follower.

Because actually YOU have to make the choice. In your case you're just doing what your parents asked you to do, you know like cleaning up the yard after the dog is gone out there or doing dishes or washing the kithcen floor.

It seems to have just as much meaning to you.

So, it's not your time to understand yet.

One day you'll even understand why you have to wash the kitchen floor and you'll do it without being told!

Because baptismal doesn't mean anything, unless you desired it for yourself, and you honestly sought Christ with all your heart.

When baptismal is forced, it's like anything else that's forced, it's resented, and ignored.

If you didn't really want it, it was no better than a bath or a drop of water on the head.

Because no one gets saved by being forced to be baptized. The trick is to have heart faith in His redeeming blood & His resurrection. And to confess Jesus Christ your Lord & Savior with you faith.

See? Works without faith is dead. In your case you just did the work of baptism without faith. Also. Faith without works is dead. You need to do both. So, confess the Jesus Christ your Lord honestly to God, receiving His blood for remission of your sins & know that you are raised up a new person in Christ. See? you have to receive God by raising your hands to God, etc.

Simple. You were FORCED into it! The Scripture says, "Freely ye receive, freely give". This applies to God's love for us and our love for Him too. Don't do it because Mom and Dad are trying to make sure they're fulfilling their spiritual "duty" to you. They should teach you by the Word and by EXAMPLE, not coercion! I hope that you do grow to understand the need for baptism, but not because Mom and Dad say so!

because you were forced to do it. It whould be something that is done by your own free will. Baptism is an outward expression of your acceptance of Christ (summed up). If you did not want to do it or understand it then it has no personal meaning. It is not something magical either it is symbolic.
