Yo, AC! I am a mormon as you may know and I despise that people are so ignorant as to what we REALLY believe. If some of the non Mormons out there would simply take the time to study up on a few things, they might begin to see things a little differently. While I am NOT preaching here, I have studied MANY different religions and Mormonism just works best for me. While I will say "to each his own" please do not bash us for what we believe.

As a fellow LDS member, I agree that we catch a lot of grief here on YA. But as I've spent more time here, I've noticed that we don't get much if any more than most relligions or beliefs. Christians vs Muslims, Christians vs Atheists, Atheists vs Theists. JW's and Catholics also get hammered.
Like the Great Gazoo said, this isn't the place for thin-skinned people. What I try to do now is ignore most of the bashing and focus on the questions that are sincere and uplifting. Although occasionaly I still feel the need to try to correct some misguided individuals that attack my beliefs.

Unfortunately for you, everything that I right down is the truth and there is worse that happen to me, but I would be deleted for saying what it was, because a mormon or mormons did it, so liek it or not, its the truth. Not all mormons did to me, what was done, but it was my exoerience, like it or not. Not all mormons are as bad as the ones I encountered, but thats just too bad, it happen to me and thats just something I have to deal with, and my ward had some pretty extreme beliefs.

You're right, I don't know a whole lot about Mormonism. I think I'd like to ,though, just to have additional knowledge. There are some who will not look for information, even just to understand something different from what they believe. It's very sad, isn't it? Atheists get that attitude a lot, as well.

I don't think anyone hates you for your religion. I think there are a lot of rumors about the LDS church. It is a very misunderstood religion, people are annoyed by the missionaries knocking on their doors, and people have a hard time understanding where the Book of Mormon came from. It's nothing against you. Just keep correcting the rumors, and teach your religion by example.

People are very mean and crazy to Mormons. I don't really know why because Mormons don't harm anyone. If someone disagrees to our beliefs, well, ok because everyone has different point of view and culture but not because that they have to put down others! it is a matter of education and respect.

I dont know why they do it either...I dont know but I have never seen any mormons go and bash other religions. Im sorry if anyone has done this to your religion. It made me really sad at first but now I try to not let it get to me. I know what I believe because I study it and I dont just make things up. I hope you hav a great day!!

I agree. People have weird ideas about us. Some actually tell people to ask ex-Mormons to get reliable information on our Church. That is totally "logical" (NOT)! Ask a person that hates the Church so that you can get biased, hateful lies!!!
I get tired of crap like "the Mormon Church is a cult," "they aren't Christians, even though they say they are" (read that one on Yahoo) and "Mormon doctrine goes against the Bible." All opinions and all very wrong!
I am a life-long member and NOTHING will ever convince me the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints isn't the ONLY true church on this earth!

The ones that write down negative things about mormons are also the ones writing down negative things about other beliefs. There are people that love causing chaos in groups of people. Ignore these people. If you are a mormon and practice those beliefs then there nothing anyone can say to change your mind. I am a Christian I go to a Baptist Church and my beliefs are not going to be shaken because of something someone writes.

People play hard here. If you are going to have a thin skin, this may not be the best place to hang out.
And I don't think Mormon ideas are any sillier than the rest of the religions. I just think they are all silly.
